Concept Artwork
For this unit we will be working on concept art, concept art is very important in the game industry because they create the first steps to creating characters, objects, and enviroments. Concept art can be done in a variety of ways which will usually start off with a pencil outline of the character which they will then go on to shade in according to the position of light, and lastly if nessecary they will use a diverse range of rendering techniques to give it life and color this can include, watercolor rendering, monochromaticrendering, and grey scale rendering, it is important I research some of these techniques and artists to help me integrate some of thier style into my work.



This is the first concept artist I researched Claire Hummel she has done work on bioshock the game and done some concept drawings for disney i chose her work because i want to be researching artists who have a range of drawing styles but can help me reference thier poses detail and shading.



My seccond concept artist is Robert Chew he does a variety of illistrations mainly of robotic animals and thier handlers, however I really enjoy the way he has portrayed them and the shading he has used too.



And my last artist is Sergi Brosa a freelance illustrator and concept artist who has very carefully illustrated renders of characters and enviroments, and pays close attention to fashion architecture and techonology, which may help me with the design of my character.
