This is my despair pose, he shows it by covering his face with his hand whilr he is slumped over the floor, I feel this turned out quite well, however the line of action is not as good as it should be.
This is my angry pose, he shows it with his fist held high towards the camera, also his face and body expressions show more signs of anger. However once again I feel that the line of action could have been better by changing perspective or the body position.
This is my happy pose shown by his fist held high in the air as he jumps for joy, but mainly the face expressions show a lot of joy because of his eyebrows raised up, eyes wide open and his smile. I like how this turned hout however the line of action is not comepletely perfect so it could still use some work.
This is the final animation for the heavy lifting, head turning, and weight shift. overall I like the body movements and positions but I especially like the picking up animation I think it looks good, however It is also quite slow but is definately something I can work on in my next animation. Now that we have learned the basics of body movements we are going to start our projects which will involve animating to an 11 seccond sound clip of our choice, so I will first make sure to start the project by making all of my poses then tweaking it to look as best it can.
Body Mechanics
For this unit we will be concentrating on body mechanics this involves using moving ligaments and muscles etc. to different body positions to portray various actions. So we will be experimenting with different poses, and movements to help us understand how to create a proper animation. So I will start this by researching various cartoons/ animations to help give me some inspiration for my project.

Before researching animations we learned about the importance of a line of action, it is simply a line drawn on the pose of a character to show weather their pose is strong or not, the more it is following the line of your character the stronger the pose will be. In light of this I researched two different types of animations that I like and think have strong lines of action, which are Monsters Inc and Cow and Chicken. I chose Monsters Inc because as a Pixar and Disney film the animations are already at top quality as they are some of the best animators in the world, and because of this nearly every few seconds of this film you will see really strong poses and lines of action that change drastically within a few seconds which is why I chose Monsters Inc. As for Cow and Chicken its more of an old animation, however what I like about it is how they switch up the poses so quickly from one strong line of action to another in a few seconds is quite hard to portray, but they do it very well and in a funny way too, which is also why I decided to choose Cow and Chicken.
We will now start using the eleven rig a pre made rigged character so we can start to experiment with different poses and lines of action.

I have now finished most of my main poses for my animations, and I will now start the hardest process which is tweaking each of the movements that lead up the next pose, there tends to be lots of problems while doing this, so I will try to take precautions to help get rid of most of the issues like saving on a regular basis however this is not garunteed to work .

For this animation project I tried my best to share time equally between the varies of animations I had to create, this invloves the body poses, mouth movements, and facial expressions. The body movements took the longest because of how hard it is to get the movements to look somewhat perfect, and there always tends to be lots of strange movements between poses that you have to fix, however I do realise that I could have made it easier by making sure that all the poses were done before I started animating, but because I didnt do all of them it ended up taking longer than I thought.
And I spent the rest of my time on the facial expressions as this is one of the most important things in animation as this is what portrays the characters feelings so I had to make sure that I was giving off a variety of emotions, including confusion anger and happiness.
Lastly I spent a very small amount of time on the mouth movements as I would not have nearly enough time to perfectly sync up the mouth movements as this is a very long process which involves using the mouth, tongue, teeth, and lips to properly pronounce every word, scince I did not have enough time for that I simply opened and closed his mouth in sync with the sound clip.
Now that I am finally done I am really happy with how this project turned out as some of the poses and facial expressions are really good and stand out to me. I definately could not have done as well without my research into animations and lines of action as this gave me a really good idea of how I wanted to animate my character.
