For my inspiration essay I have used a live action scene from one of my favourite games Assassins Creed Brotherhood. It contains all the elements of a great game and trailer at the same time. Important things like action, suspense, tension, excitement, and chilling music these are all things that this trailer has incorporated in itself.

 

And they are very important assets to have in a game trailer because the audience and the fans are looking for things too reel them into wanting to watch it further, and this trailer does it in a great way as throughout the whole scene, it constantly keeps you eagerly awaiting for what will happen next almost as if its a movie. When I first watched this that is exactly how I felt, I was constantly on the edge of my seat getting incredibly exited by the graphics the action and for what would be a great storyline.

 

From that day on I feel like most of the work I do has kind of been affected by this scene in different ways weather it being tense music, the design of the city and buildings, the storyline, or the design of characters weapons, and armour all of these things have had a small part to play in most of my projects.

 

A more recent example for the James bond project we did, I used some elements of this trailer in it which was part of my storyline and even for some of my scenes, like how he goes through a long struggle to find his enemy and has to have a big battle to decide the winner, and also in some of the scenes where I have still shots of bond and some of the fighting scenes came from the inspiration I have for this trailer.

 

All of these points are also showing how just one small scene or trailer can inspire you and the work you do for over such a long period of time, the first time I saw this trailer was about 5 years ago, and even back then when I was making short videos on you tube this inspired me to change in many different ways how I work, weather it being the variations of colours they use like white, silver, and brown etc. Up to the story behind certain projects, and even the base designs of your drawings, its insane to think of how such a small thing can affect how you work forever.

 

There are also other parts of my work where my inspiration for this trailer has affected my projects and how I work sometimes on a big scale but most of the time on a small unnoticeable scale like the design of my mech character, or different colour schemes I have used from time to time however, it is definitely something that has inspired me and my work greatly for a long time and I hope will continue to, or even better maybe I will see another trailer or scene that inspires me even greater than this one did and will help push my work to a new level.
